Two Woman Caught Burglarizing House in Titusville

TITUSVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Police say two women were caught burglarizing a house in Titusville on Sunday.

Around 9:12 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, Titusville Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Breed Street for a possible break-in. The information provided to officers from dispatch was that people were in a residence with flashlights, and the caller stated the owner of the residence was not home at the time.

The officers arrived at the scene and found two females walking from the property carrying multiple items. The women were then detained for questioning. The officers also spoke to the witness and to one of the residents who had arrived at the scene.

Police say the two women, identified as 25-year-old Angela Carr and 57-year-old Renee M. Carr, both of Titusville, were questioned and subsequently arrested. They were then transported to the Titusville Police Station for processing before being transported to the Crawford County Jail for arraignment.

Court documents indicate Angela and Renee Carr were arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Samuel V. Pendolino at 8:30 a.m. on August 10.

They each face the following charges:

  • Burglary – Overnight Accommodation, No Person Present, Felony 1
  • Criminal Trespass-Enter Structure, Felony 3
  • Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, Misdemeanor 2
  • Loitering And Prowling At Night Time, Misdemeanor 3

They remain free on $10,000 each unsecured bail.
