SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police are currently investigating an alleged sexual assault at a care facility in Sugarcreek Borough.
Franklin-based State Police responded to a known care facility located in Sugarcreek Borough, Venango County, around 9:05 p.m. on Monday, October 26, for a report of an alleged sexual assault that occurred earlier that morning.
Police spoke with the staff at the facility, who stated it was brought to their attention by the victim, identified as a 40-year-old female from Sharon, that she was sexually assaulted by another resident.
Police say due to the “graphic nature” of the incident, no further information will be available.
According to police, a “thorough investigation” into the allegations is currently ongoing.
