Dale M. Fogel

Dale M. Fogel, 88, of Kanesholm Road near Kane, died Friday, April 9, 2021, at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

Born September 16, 1932, in Kane, he was the son of Walter and Ann Dale Fogel. On May 28, 1958, in Kane, he married Ethel J. Spence, who survives.

After serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, Dale was a teacher and principal at the Kane Elementary Schools for many years, retiring in 1993.

He was a member of the VFW #1132 and American Legion in Kane, the Kane Fish & Game Club and the Kiinzua Wildlife Foundation, and was a lifetime member of the Tin Can Sailors. He had been a member of the Kane Vol. Fire Department, where he had served as chief.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Nancy (John) Rezzelle of Kane; a grandson, Alex Rezzelle, and a sister, Martha (Donald) Paup of Kane. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from noon until 1:00, at which time a service will be held there with the Rev. Calvin Cook, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Kane, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
