Brookville High School Lockdown Caused By Report of ‘Suspicious Substance’

BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Officials say Brookville Area High School was placed on lockdown for a short time on Wednesday due to a “suspicious substance” found in the school.

According to a district representative, a “suspicious substance” was found at the high school on Wednesday, and students were then held in their classrooms while police were called to the school.

Police responded with drug detection K9s to do a sweep of the school building.

Officials say the sweep did not locate any controlled substances, and the lockdown was then lifted.
