Beulah “Boots” Jane (Kinzey) Ovenshire

Beulah “Boots” Jane (Kinzey) Ovenshire, 85, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021, while a patient at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

She was born on April 10, 1935, to the late Clarence Henry and Margaret Lillian (Welsh) Kinzey in Clarion, PA. Boots married Guy Arden Ovenshire on March 21, 1958, in Cumberland, MD; Guy preceded her in passing on March 26, 2000.

She attended school in the Clarion-Limestone School District. In her lifetime, Boots worked both in and outside of the home, at different jobs, but mainly as a homemaker. She loved surrounding herself with family. Boots enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers and canning her vegetables. She loved to cook and bake. She also enjoyed watching wild birds and completing puzzles.

Boots is survived by three children, Sherri (George) Lingenfelter, Perry (Cathy) Ovenshire, and Terry (Ron) Dickey; four sisters, Thelma, Peg, Annette, and Linda; one brother, Vernon; seven grandchildren, Tabitha (Greg) Lyons, Angela (Shawn) Stasiowski, Melissa (Brandon) Carlson, Wesley Ovenshire, Amber Dickey, Kayla (Jason) Griffith, and Trever (Lauren) Daugherty; and sixteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Boots was preceded in passing by eight brothers and sisters. Services will be held privately to the family and have been entrusted to the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA, 15851.
