Two People Airlifted Following Head-On Collision on Route 6

COLUMBUS TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say two people were airlifted after being seriously injured in a head-on collision on State Route 6 in Warren County on Monday.

According to Corry-based State Police, around 12:36 p.m. on September 20, a two-vehicle head-on crash occurred on State Route 6 near White’s Corners Road in Columbus Township.

Police say 72-year-old Robert Rose, of Warren, was operating a 2019 Nissan Rogue traveling westbound on State Route 6 when he crossed over the center line while negotiating a curve and struck a 2009 Kia Rondo, operated by 56-year-old Chari Goska, of Columbus, Pa., that was traveling eastbound head-on.

According to police, neither driver was wearing a seatbelt.

Both drivers suffered major injuries and both were transported from the scene by medical helicopter.

Both vehicles sustained major damage and were towed from the scene.

EmergyCare Ambulance, Corry Regional Fire Department, STAT MedEvac, and Starlight Medevac also assisted at the scene.
