Rose Marie Wells

Rose Marie Wells, 78, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away during the morning hours of Tuesday, November 30, 2021, while at her home.

Rose was born on May 27, 1943, to the late Charles and Rose (Nahrbecki) Orsargos in Windber, PA.

On March 22, 1963, Rose married the love of her life, Thomas A. Wells in Elkton, MD; Tom survives her.

Rose was the life of the party.

She loved gatherings and catering to everyone else’s needs before her own.

She was a great cook and baker; her specialties were her meatballs and chocolate chip cookies.

Rose loved Christmas shopping and she loved to decorate with hundreds of Santas.

She also enjoyed scratch lottery tickets.

Rose was a longtime camper at Deer Meadow Campground in Cooksburg, PA.

She was a member of the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Reynoldsville, PA.

She was previously active in the Rosary Altar Society serving her church in many capacities.

In addition to her husband, Rose is survived by four children; Melinda R. (Curt) Ishman of Reynoldsville, Murel “Moley” Wells of Reynoldsville, Chrissie L. (Nick) Barcelona of Pittsburgh, Ashley M. (Jason) Carpino of Reynoldsville; nine grandchildren; Brandi (fiancé Ryan Osmolinski) Ishman, Brooklyn (fiancé Jake Elk) Ishman, Dakota Wells, Kaelen Barcelona, AJ Barcelona, Reagan Barcelona, Jack Barcelona, Lennon Carpino, Simon Carpino; and two great-grandchildren; Eden Osmolinski and Emrick Osmolinski.

Rose was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers; Steve, Joe, Andy, John, Chuck; and sister; MaryAnn.

Family and friends will be received from 1 – 2pm, on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 607 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following the visitation, beginning at 2pm and officiated by Father William Barron.
