Adrienne Claire (Ewing) Bowley

Adrienne Claire (Ewing) Bowley, 62, of Roseville passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 2, 2021.

Adrienne was born on September 9, 1959, to the late Robert (2010) and Caroline (1979) Ewing in Cockeysville, MD.

She graduated from Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH with the Class of 1977.

She proudly served the United States Navy at Norfolk, VA from 1981 to 1985, where she achieved the rank of Petty Officer Second Class.

Adrienne married Michael David Bowley on September 21, 1985, in Roseville, PA. Adrienne was a stay-at-home mom and it pleased her very much to provide her sons with their earliest education.

From 2008 to 2015, she was a receptionist at the Jefferson County Jail.

Adrienne loved to cook, bake, garden, and care for her family.

She enjoyed watching the birds that she fed, and spent lots of time with her rescue dachshunds.

A distant relative, Sarah Graham, was one of the earliest settlers of Brookville, and this inspired her interest in genealogy.

Adrienne loved the Pittsburgh Steelers; a treasured memory was attending the Hall of Fame induction ceremony for Troy Polamalu.

Besides her husband, Adrienne is survived by two sons; Alan (Gina) of Sharon Center, OH and Jeremiah (Dani) of Roseville, PA; two young grandchildren, Beau & Emmylou Bowley; her dog, Josie; two sisters, Monica (Dennis) Moreland of FL, and Kim Grenier of WA; brother-in-law, Ed Thompson of MD, and other Bowley and Ewing relatives.

Adrienne wanted to express her gratitude to her neighbors the Rays, the Hilliards, and the late Betty Oaks for their friendship through the years.

In addition to her parents, Adrienne was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Gretchen Nuetzel (1991); sister, Gail Thompson (2017); cousins from MA, and many beloved pets.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Rolling Dog Farm disabled animal rescue: PO Box 150, Lancaster, NH 03584 or https://www.rollingdogfarm.org/support-the-farm/.

Interment will take place at the Cedarview Memorial Park, Strattanville, Jefferson Co., PA.

Last honors have been entrusted to the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.
