Karren Dorren Baka

Karren Dorren Baka age 80 of McCain Street Brockway, PA; died on Wednesday May 4, 2022 at her residence.

Born on June 1, 1941 in Ridgway, PA; she was the daughter of the late Esther Lundblad.

On May 4, 1963 she was married to George G. Baka Sr. and he survives.

Retired, Karren had been employed at Brockway Glass for 13 years, and at Paris Cleaners in Brockway.

She also was a homemaker.

Karren was a member of the V.F.W. Club in Crenshaw and the Brockway Sportsmen’s Club.

She was an avid concession stand volunteer for many years at Brockway Little League, Teener League and Youth Football games.

Karren also enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for numerous local organizations, again never being afraid to volunteer her time.

She also enjoyed bowling, trips to the casino at Salamanca, traveling with her husband and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is also survived by 4 children: George G. Baka Jr; Christopher M. Baka both of Brockway; Robbin P. Baka of DuBois, PA and Aaron (Darlene) Baka also of Brockway; a sister Glenda Peterson of Crenshaw; grandchildren: Amber Beningo, Kristen Baka, Jackson C. Baka, Zane Drum, Brett Drum, Devin Baka, Cameron Baka, Mason Baka, Catherine Baka, Grace Stewart, Seth Stewart and Reese Stewart.

She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.

Along with her mother she is also preceded in death by sisters: Violet Fortunato, Donna Lindholm, Marlene Andrekovich, Norma Parana, Betty Miller and an infant sister Pearl as well as by 3 brothers Tom, Carl and Herbert Miller.

Calling hours will be on Saturday May 7 from 10AM to 1PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.

A Funeral Service will follow at 1PM also at the funeral home with Msgr. Charles Kaza officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
