Rev. Kenneth R. Danser, Sr.

Rev. Kenneth R. Danser, Sr., 84, of Timblin, died Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Snyder Memorial Health Care Center in Marienville.

He was born August 6, 1938, in Mount Holly, NJ, a son of the late Susan T. (Bebee) and Claude A. Danser.

On April 16, 1977, he married Naomi L. (Russell) Danser, who survives.

Ken served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960 and then worked on the civilian side as a Hazardous Waste Coordinator for the United States Navy and retired from there after twenty-seven years.

He was a member of the Calvary Nazarene Church of Brookville.

He enjoyed spreading the word of God, holding church services in nursing homes, reading the bible, gardening, old time movies, woodworking and filling in for other pastors.

Ken also served as the mayor of Timblin.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, daughter Janet L. Oehmsen and husband Dennis of Columbus, IN, son Kenneth Danser, Jr. of Maryville, TN, son Robert J. Danser of Woodbury, NJ, and son John P. Danser of Burlington, NJ; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Lillian Rucker, Susanne Brocious and Beth Daily; and a brother Jerry Danser.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Claude Danser, Jr., Thomas Danser, George Danser, Donald Danser, Roger Danser and David Danser; and a sister Elaine.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation beginning at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville.
