Bertha M. Deahl, 95, of Punxsutawney, died Monday, December 19, 2022, at Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney.
She was born October 18, 1927, in McGees Mills, daughter of the late Ada Blanche (Pierce) and William Harkleroad.
On May 14, 1954, she married Merle Deahl, Jr., who preceded her in death.
Bertha was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Punxsutawney and enjoyed baking.
She worked for Sylvania and Rolo-Jensen.
Bertha is survived by a daughter Cindy Johnson of Albion; three grandchildren, Brent Johnson and wife Karina of Sugarland, TX, Kevin Johnson and wife Katie of Boulder, CO, and Scott Johnson of Stafford, TX; and four great-grandchildren Vincent, Zach, Rhys and Evie.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Roslyn Deahl, brothers Bill and Carl Harkleroad, sister Zania Gregg, and a son-in-law David Johnson.
A celebration of Bertha’s life will be held at a later date.
Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynolsville.
