Teen Accused of Threatening to Shoot McDonald’s Manager During Dispute Over Quality

CLEARFIELD, Pa. (EYT) – A teenager was jailed after he allegedly threatened to shoot the manager of a local McDonald’s restaurant.

Clearfield-based State Police arrested an 18-year-old Nasir Hakem Johnson, of Osceola Mills, on the charges of making terroristic threats. The incident took place in Decatur Township, Clearfield County.

Johnson allegedly threatened an employee at a McDonald’s in Philipsburg on December 2, 2023, around 2:30 p.m.

Johnson allegedly engaged in a verbal dispute with the manager of the store, a 30-year-old male from West Decatur, over the perceived lack of service quality. The argument allegedly escalated to the point where Johnson threatened to retrieve a gun and shoot him.

The Clearfield Patrol Unit responded swiftly, investigating the incident and subsequently filing charges against Johnson. He was taken into custody and was lodged in the Clearfield County Jail, with bail set at $50,000. The bail was posted by professional bondsman Frank Martin Thomas of Liberty Bail Bonds on December 4, 2023.

Johnson is facing misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another and disorderly conduct hazardous/physical offense.

Following his arrest, Johnson underwent a preliminary arraignment on December 4, 2023, before Judge Jerome M. Nevling. The case is active and awaiting a preliminary hearing, scheduled for December 13, 2023.

As of the latest report, Johnson has not applied for a public defender, nor has he been fingerprinted. The case is being prosecuted by the Clearfield County District Attorney’s Office. Further details will be available following the preliminary hearing.
