Jeffrey A. Dinger

Jeffrey A. Dinger, 69, of Oil City, PA, passed away on Saturday at 7:00 A.M. in his home.

He was born Dec. 8, 1954 in Brookville, PA, he was the son of the late James E. & Mildred Henry Dinger.

He was married in Franklin, PA on July 5, 1986 to Judith M. Flis and she survives.

Jeff followed in his Dad’s footsteps, retiring from National Fuel Gas in 2015 after more than 40 years.

Jeff was a dedicated fisherman spending many a day on the local streams with friends Kim, Scott and Denny and his brother Calvin.

He was a member of Fish Erie.

He was a sprint car enthusiast, often spending 3 and 4 days in row with his friend Mark at Tri-City, Sharon and Lernerville.

He even made trips to the Knoxville Nationals.

He loved the change of seasons: Trout season, Crappie season, Racing Season, Ice Fishing Season.

Jeff made the best fudge and he truly loved making and delivering batches to relatives and friends.

He always shared his recipes when asked, but he never told his secrets for how to make it perfectly.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son: Shawn T. Dinger of Oil City; a daughter: Monica A. Kline of Phoenix, AZ; a granddaughter: Haley Kossman and her fiancé Keri; one brother: Calvin Dinger and his wife Tina of Tippery; two sisters: Pamela Dinger of Oil City, Robin Harris and fiancé Ken Snyder of Franklin; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by a sister in-law: Peggy Flis of Oil City; and the best neighbors who did so much for him: Sam & Joyce Fisher.

He was preceded in death by a sister Roberta Wielandt.

Friends will be received from 4:30P.M.-6:30 P.M. Thursday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:30 P.M. with Rev. Mark Elliston, Presiding.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Nittany Greyhounds in honor of his special buddy Cinder Lou or Special Olympics.
