Betty Jane Deibler

Betty Jane Deibler, 67, of 2nd St. Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024 at Penn Highlands Hospital in DuBois, PA.

Born Sunday, December 29, 1957 in Brookville, PA, she was the daughter Samuel Harry Barnett and Phyllis Young Barnett.

On April 23, 1991 Betty married the love of her life Karl Heinz Deibler in Brookville who survives.

For most of her life she enjoyed working as a bartender at all the local bars in Brookville.

Betty was a member of the F.O.E #983 Ladies Auxiliary for over 25 years where she was very active serving as a former trustee for many years and as the current Worthy Mother.

Betty was a social butterfly always taking care of friends and family.

She enjoyed traveling with friends, going to the casino with her husband, and cherished the times going out to “Fire Hill” with her family, but what Betty loved most was taking care of and spending time with her grandchildren.

Betty is survived by 2 Sons – Shawn and Joseph Zimmerman of Brookville, PA, Sisters – Sharon Rapp of Shippenville, PA, Karen Snell of Emerickville, PA, Susan Gould of Brookville, and Brothers – Samuel Barnett of Reynoldsville, PA and Robert Moore Jr. of Sigel, PA along with numerous Step-Brothers and Sisters, nieces, and nephews, 4 grandchildren – Caleb Wayne, Aiden, Mia, and Zimmie Zimmerman, and 2 Great-Grandchildren – August and Juniper Zimmerman.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, Stepdad Robert Moore, and 1 Sister – Laura Barnett.

The family would like to invite friends to a celebration of Betty’s life on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 from 1PM to 4PM at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles on Main St.in Brookville, PA where words of comfort will take place at 4PM.

Interment will be in the St. John’s Cemetery (Windy Hill), Rose Twp., Jefferson Co., PA

The family would appreciate memorial donations be made to the Hahne Cancer Center – 100 Hospital Ave. DuBois, PA 15801, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
