LeRoy W. Stelene, age 82, of Elk Lane, Weedville, PA, died Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Penn Highlands-DuBois, after a lengthy illness.
A son of the late LaRue and Ada (Silvis) Stelene, he was born on December 20, 1941, in Ridgway, PA.
On September 7, 1973, he married Patricia (Forsythe), who survives at home.
Along with his wife, LeRoy is survived by two sons, Robert L. (Debra) Smith of Ridgway and Dennis E. (Toni) Smith of Ridgway; four grandchildren, Kayla, Stephen, Brandon, and Troy Smith; five great-grandchildren, Hunter, Beau, Parker, Lucas, and Harper; a brother, Kenneth Stelene; and a sister, Michele Leiter.
Besides his parents, LeRoy was predeceased by three sisters, Jeannie Bedford, Dorothy Geici, and Sally Shoffstall; and three brothers, Michael, Robert, and Thomas Stelene.
LeRoy lived thirty years in Johnsonburg, several years in Penfield, and the past forty-plus years in Weedville.
He worked twenty-one years with Pure Carbon, retiring in 1995.
He enjoyed spending time on his computer and watching television.
There will be no public visitation.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
