Beth Ann Sterner

Beth Ann Sterner, 71, of Oil City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born December 17, 1952, in Corry, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marjorie Miller Smith.

Beth was a graduate of Titusville High School.

Always an outdoor lover, she enjoyed growing and cultivating all kinds of flowers and plants.

She was a prolific and talented quilter and sewer.

However, her biggest passion was investing in her family and creating a home that honored the Lord.

On September 7, 1974, she was married to Robert W. Sterner, who loved and supported her throughout her life.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her seven children, whom she valued until the end: Shonda Yost and her husband Ben, of Canton, OH, Sherri Myers and her husband Jonathan, of Elizabethtown, KY, Robert Sterner and his wife Jenn, of Winder, GA, Cindy Bell and her husband Aaron, of Fertigs, Amy Moore and her husband Chris, of Berkley Springs, WV, Christina Sterner of Oil City, and Ricky Sterner and his wife Trinni, of Oil City.

There are also 15 grandchildren: Evan and Justin Yost, Ethan and Berea Myers, Hannah, Chaya, and Zachary Sterner, Miriam, Ruth, Sarah, Tirzah, Zipporah, and Malachi Bell, and Adaira and Madelyn Moore.

Also surviving are five sisters: Gladys, Jeannette, Jacque, Dana, and Freda.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Cheryl and Delores.

Visitation and funeral services are private.

Interment will be in Cherrytree Cemetery.
