Robert L. Vizza

Robert L. Vizza, 89, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, while a patient at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital in DuBois.

Robert was born on December 6, 1934, in Wishaw, PA, to the late Carman and Virginia (Goodyear) Vizza.

He graduated from Reynoldsville High School.

Robert married the love of his life, M. Sandra Borden on April 23, 1956; after 68 years of marriage, Sandra survives him.

He worked for the International Chimney Corporation for 42 years and loved meeting new people every day.

Robert is a member of the Reynoldsville First Methodist Church.

He is also a former member of the Reynoldsville Council, twice Past Master of the John M. Reed Lodge No.536, a former 32nd Degree member of Coudersport Consistory, twice High Priest of Jefferson Royal Arch Chapter No. 225, member of DuBois Council No. 268 Allied Masonic Degrees, a Past Principal of the 52nd Masonic District School of Instruction, and former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Robert loved spending time with his family and grandchildren; he always had a “special spot” for his great-grandchildren.

He enjoyed his short time on council, his morning coffee breaks with the “Over the Hill Gang”, his Masonic Duties and meetings, his church, and life in general.

He also enjoyed spending time woodworking.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by one daughter: Cindi (Barry) Magas; two sons: Robert (Diane) Vizza and Richard Vizza; four granddaughters; two grandsons; six great-grandsons; and four great-granddaughters.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in passing by one sister: Marlene Vizza; one great-grandson: Tyler Reynolds; and one great-granddaughter: Madison Hedrick.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 2pm to 5pm at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.

A Masonic service will take place following the visitation, also at the funeral home, beginning at 5pm.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Reynoldsville First Methodist Church, 504 Jackson Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851, beginning at 11am, and officiated by Rev. Becky Edwards.
