David Edward Miller

David Edward Miller, 75, of West Hickory, PA., passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2024, at his home.

Born April 10, 1949, in Sewickley, PA., he was the son of the late George Edward and Ruth Doyle Miller.

Dave was a 1967 graduate of Cranberry High School.

He married the former Deborah L. Xander in St. Stephen’s Church on September 14, 1974, and she survives.

An insurance agent for over forty years, Dave had worked for American General Life and Casualty, Allstate, and Barr’s Insurance.

Dave was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting on foot; he also enjoyed in later years on his four wheeler.

He loved feeding and watching the deer that came to see him every day as well as the troublesome bears that would visit on occasion.

Dave was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Fryburg Sportsmans Club.

He was a great supporter of any POW/MIA organization.

His greatest honor was being an amazing Husband, Dad, and Grandfather.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son (whom he was so very proud of), Mark Edward Miller and his wife Bobbi Jo of Hanoverton, OH; his daughter (his best Hunna), Erika Kristin McFarlane and her husband Johnathan of Denver, CO; his two grandchildren who made him so happy and proud-Alexander Edward Miller of Washington, PA, and Adelaide Poppy McFarlane of Denver, CO.

He is also survived by a sister, Diane R. Sayre and her husband Mike of Valencia CA; his brother in laws-Kevin Xander, Dennis Xander and his wife Diane, and Tom Xander and his wife Lisa all of Oil City; a sister-in-law- Royce Ann Xander of Oil City; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Private Visitation and Funeral Services will be held on Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
