May Is Military Appreciation Month

CLARION, Pa. – Clarion Psychiatric Center honors those who have served in the U.S. Military and reminds us that we owe our freedom to their sacrifices.

There are countless ways that we can show our appreciation for members of our military this month and all year long:

Find a local organization and volunteer to serve food, distribute supplies, or spend time socializing with veterans who may need it.

Volunteer your time to clean up a monument, park, or cemetery. This could include gardening, routine cleaning, or watering plants.

If you own a business, you can offer special discounts to honor their service.

If you have co-workers who have served, you can highlight their story in a company newsletter or organize a special recognition luncheon or after-work happy hour.

Fly our flag on important military holidays.

Send a card or visit any local VA hospital or retirement community. You could brighten someone’s day!

If you know of a military service member who is having trouble coping and may need treatment for a mental health or substance use issue, Clarion Psychiatric Center can help. Call their caring staff today at 800-253-4906 or visit clarioncenter.com.
