James C. “Dale” Minich, Jr.

James C. “Dale” Minich, Jr., 90, of Shippenville (formerly of New Bethlehem) passed away Sunday morning, May 5, 2024, at the Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born June 13, 1933, in Truittsburg, he was a son of the late James C. and Ellet M. (Bowersox) Minich.

He was first married to Donna (Truitt) Minich, and she preceded him in death he then married Barbara L. (Horne) Minich, and she also preceded him in death.

Dale proudly served his country in the Unites States Navy and the United States Air Force.

He was a truck driver for National Freight out of New Jersey and was a member of the Cornerstone Church of God in Fairmount City.

He is survived by a daughter, Vickie L. Manners, a grandson, Justin Lee, a great-grandson, Corbin Lee, all of New Bethlehem, and a sister, Helen “Bonnie” Gallispe, of Kane.

He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wives, he is preceded in death by four brothers, William Minich, John Vern Minich, Paul Minich, and Wayne Minich, and a sister Gloria Smyers.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the Cornerstone Church of God at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Nagele III officiating.

Immediately following the memorial service, the Walter W. Craig Post #354 of New Bethlehem American Legion will honor their fallen comrade.

Interment will take place in the Kellersburg Methodist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Cornerstone Church of God, 134 Pine Street, Fairmount City, Pa. 16224.
