Maurice E. Huth, III

Maurice E. Huth, III, 86, of Franklin, died peacefully at 1:10 AM Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Orchard Manor in Grove City, following a period of declining health.


  
He was born February 27, 1938, in Oil City, a beloved son of the late Maurice E. Huth, Jr. and Dorothy C. Armburger Huth.  

He worked at the former Joy Manufacturing Company in Franklin as a machinist for many years, retiring twice!  

He married the former Sara A. Timlin on July 12, 1960; sadly, she preceded him in death on March 2, 2022.

Mr. Huth enjoyed gardening, boating, and camping with family and friends.  

He is survived by his children: Brian Huth and his wife, Kathy of Franklin; Brenda Nilsson and her husband, Erik of Butler, and Shirley Baker and her husband, Kevin of Cooperstown; in addition to six grandchildren: Mike Shoup, Tyler Huth,
Ryan Huth, Alyssa Nilsson, Mathew Nilsson, and Zachary Baker; and by four great-grandchildren: Ethan Shoup, Sierra Shoup, Rayleigh Huth, and Bryson Shoup.  

He is also survived by his brother, Richard Huth of Franklin; and by a sister, Carol Rarer and her husband, Larry of Cooperstown; in addition to many nephews, nieces, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scot Huth; a daughter, Debbie Huth; and by a brother, Don Huth.  

Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral services Friday at 11 AM in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin, with Reverend David Eames, officiating.

Private interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens at Cranberry.
