Phyllis A. Utzinger

Phyllis A. Utzinger, age 93 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at her home.

Born on April 6, 1931, in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Mae (Smith) Leach.

On July 14, 1951, she married William H. Utzinger. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2013.

Phyllis had worked at United Cerebral Palsy and then Goodwill Industries for many years.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist in Sykesville, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and loved to go camping.

Phyllis, along with the husband, Bill, enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers of all shapes and sizes and have an extensive collection.

She had also loved to roller skate, but above all, she most loved her time with her family.

She is survived by a son (William R. Utzinger and his wife Rosie of Oil City, PA), three daughters (Judy M. Fields, Wanda J. Armagost, and her husband Samuel, and Kathy A. Utzinger, all of DuBois, PA), eight grandchildren (Irene, Amanda, Marita, Venessa, Stacey, Crystal, Eric, and Heather), thirteen great-grandchildren (Liam, Norah, Charlie, Bear, Atticus, Arcadia, Ansen, Cohen, Hudson, Korra, Rowan, Nola, and Kendall), a brother (Vernon Leach and his wife Doris), and two sisters (Sandra Hatten and her husband Norman, and Donna Ellenberger).

She was preceded in death by her son in law (Ray Fields) and numerous brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc.

Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Jacob Penvose officiating.

Burial will take place in Salem Cemetery.
