Elizabeth Ann “Libby” (Gruebele) Stolzenbach Fotos, 91, of Clarion, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 8, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson’s.
Libby was born August 22, 1932, in Rimersburg, PA, and was the daughter of the late Harry C. and Aileen (Kerr) Gruebele.
She attended Clarion High School, graduating in 1950, as well as Clarion Teachers College and Robert Morris College, graduating in 1952.
She married Fred W. “Fritz” Stolzenbach on June 10, 1952, on the CBS Television show “Bride + Groom” in New York City.
They were married for 48 years until his passing on August 6, 2000.
She then married Joseph Fotos, Superintendent of Clarion Area School District on September 8, 2007.
They were married for 14 years until his passing on February 13, 2022.
Libby is survived by her sons: F. Kurt Stolzenbach and his wife Kathleen of Harmony, PA, and Mark L. Stolzenbach and wife Carol of Strattanville; her grandchildren: Stephanie Stolzenbach-Conce and husband Ramon of New York City and Andrew Stolzenbach and wife Tabetha of Clarion; her great-grandchildren: Lincoln Conce of New York City, Arya Stolzenbach of Clarion and Sophia Stolzenbach of Clarion.
Friends and family will be received from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory Inc: 330 Wood St. Clarion, PA 16214.
A funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home at 12:00pm with Rev. Jodie Smith officiating.
Interment will follow at the Clarion Cemetery.
