Snow-Covered Roadway Causes Crash on Route 6

WARREN CO., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a woman recently lost control of her vehicle and struck a guide rail on State Route 6.

According to police, around 7:10 a.m. on April 10, a one-vehicle crash occurred on Grand Army of the Republic Highway/Route 6 just south of USFS Road in Sheffield Township, Warren County.

Police say 47-year-old Tammy S. Swanson, of Kane, was operating a 2016 GM Acadia, traveling west on State Route 6 on snow-covered roadways when her vehicle drifted off the north edge of the roadway while she was negotiating a slight left curve. Swanson then lost control of the vehicle and struck a guide rail end.

Swanson was using a seat belt and was not injured.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage.

Sheffield Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Swanson was cited for a traffic violation.
