Clyde William Lindemuth Jr.

CClyde William Lindemuth Jr., 93, of Warsaw Township, PA, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022, while at his home.

He was born on July 24, 1929, to the late Clyde William Sr., and Alma Esther (Beatty) Lindemuth in Brookville, PA.

He graduated from Brookville High School with the class of 1948.

Clyde proudly served his country with the US Army where he was stationed in Korea during the Korean conflict.

He operated heavy equipment and achieved the rank of staff sergeant.

Clyde married Margery “Marge” Ida Ekis on July 2, 1953, in Brookville; Marge preceded him in passing.

He retired from Highway Equipment in 1991 after more than thirty years of employment.

After retirement, Clyde and his wife traveled throughout Pennsylvania, camping and enjoying the flea markets.

In the early 1970s, he was one of the founding members of the Warsaw Township Volunteer Fire Company.

He served as fire chief for seventeen years and is a lifelong member of the fire company.

He also helped establish the Hazen Flea Market and worked countless hours preparing and overseeing the event.

He also served as president of the Jefferson County Fireman’s Association.

He dedicated much of his life to serving the Warsaw Township community.

Clyde was a very caring father and grandfather, who loved his family very much.

He was a strong, resilient, and hardworking man and was such a great role model to his family and community.

He will be dearly missed by them all. Clyde is survived by four children; Teresa Ann Clontz of DuBois, PA; W. Craig Lindemuth of Hazen, PA; Brenda Kay (Timothy) Milford of Brookville, PA; Tammy Jean (Daniel) Swank of North Pole, AK; a special cousin; Donna (Mike) Arnold of Brockway, PA; seven grandchildren; Brian Clontz; Scott (Candy) Clontz; Kristine (Daniel) Shaffer; Amberli (Nick) Gio; Kate (Chad) Fuller; Kenneth (Megan) Swank; Eric (Sarah) Swank; twenty great grandchildren; Bryce Clontz; McKenzie Clontz; Jacob Clontz; Joseph Clontz; Amelia Clontz; Ebony Young; Hannah Carmella; Sarah Carmella; Domanic Carmella; Derek Shaffer; Jack Lipinski; Allison Lipinski; Sam Lipinski; Cristabel Fuller; Freya Fuller; Kalia Swank; Katie Swank; Madalyn Swank; Nolan Swank; and Logan Swank.

In addition to his wife and parents, Clyde was preceded in passing by one daughter in law; Peggy Lindemuth; one grandson; Joseph Lindemuth; one sister; A. Louise Shaffer; and one brother; Robert M. Lindemuth.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 4pm to 8pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11am and officiated by Reverend Doug Dyson.

Military Honors will be rendered by the Brookville Area Honor Guard.

Interment will take place at Temple Cemetery, Warsaw Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
