Mary Lee Reardon

Mary Lee Reardon, age 71, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Oil City, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas.

She was born on April 2, 1952 in Oil City, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Paul L. Reardon and Bernice M. Gureczny Reardon.

Mary graduated from Venango Christian High School, then furthering her education at St. Vincent School of Nursing, Erie PA, where she earned her Certificate of Nursing to become a registered nurse in May of 1973.

After graduation, she worked at St. Vincent for a short period of time, and then enlisting in the United States Air Force.

There she was assigned as a Second Lieutenant Nurse at Maxwell A.F.B., Montgomery, Alabama.

After completing her enlistment, 1st Lieutenant Reardon moved to Houston, Texas and began working for M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where she touched the lives of countless cancer patients.

After numerous years there, she moved to Hermann Hospital, where she specialized in wound care.

During her time at Hermann Hospital, she also earned her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from The University of Texas.

The last few years of her career, she worked in Home Health Care, specializing in wound care before retiring.

Mary is survived by her brother Robert and his wife Sandra, of Pleasantville, Pennsylvania, her nephews Christopher of Busti, New York, Adam of Oakdale, Pennsylvania, and also John and his wife Lindsey of Lebanon, Illinois.

She adored her grand nephews, Sullivan “Sully” and Theodore “Theo” also of Lebanon, Illinois.

Mary is also survived by several cousins, throughout the country.
