MERCER COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – A domestic violence incident resulting in an assault with a weapon occurred in Springfield Township, Mercer County.
The incident on March 30, 2024, at approximately 9:09 a.m., according to a public information release report from the Pennsylvania State Police.
The incident took place at a location along Holiday Boulevard. State Police responded to a 9-1-1 call requesting medical assistance. Upon their arrival, officers discovered that an altercation had taken place between a couple, resulting in one individual being stabbed.
The suspect, a 20-year-old female from Macon, Georgia, was taken into custody and is currently being held at Mercer County Jail. The victim, a 25-year-old male, also from Macon, Georgia, received medical treatment for the injuries sustained during the incident.
Authorities have not disclosed further information regarding the identities of those involved or the circumstances leading up to the altercation. The case remains under investigation.
