Dale A. Wolbert

Dale A. Wolbert, 67, of Shippenville, passed away Tuesday morning, May 7, 2024, at the Clarion Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born on March 25, 1957, in Brookville; the son of the late Lee and Doris Blymiller Wolbert.

Dale graduated from North Clarion High School in 1975.

He married the love of his life, Roberta “Bobbi” Fagley, on May 5, 1984, who survives.

They just celebrated 40 years together.

In his younger years, Dale worked at George Shirey’s True Value Hardware Store in Clarion.

He then worked at Edwards Appliance Store in Clarion for 25 years and retired from Charles Tool & Supply in Shippenville after 15 years.

He was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Crown.

Dale was also a member of the Clarion Car Club and enjoyed antique cars and going to car shows.

He was founder of the Golf Booster Club and very involved in the Basketball Booster Club, both at Keystone High School.

Dale also enjoyed hunting and fishing, golfing, trains, and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates.

One of his proudest accomplishments was coaching his sons from t-ball up to senior league baseball.

In addition to his wife, Bobbi, Dale is survived by his sons, Ben Wolbert and his wife, Jenna, of Knox and Ryan Wolbert and his wife, Lily, of North Carolina and his grandsons, Maverick, Hudson, and Lincoln Wolbert, all of Knox.

He is also survived by his brothers, Kerry Wolbert of Marienville, Frank Wolbert and his wife, Deb, of Florida, Jerry Wolbert and his wife, Kristi, of Clarion, Dave Wolbert of South Carolina, and Dean Wolbert and his wife, Tiea, of Miola; along with numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his sister, Beth Hart, and a sister-in-law, Katie Wolbert.

Family and friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday May 11, 2024 in the funeral home with Rev. Monty Sayers, pastor of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarion, presiding.
