State Police Make Arrest in Crawford County Homicide Case

BLOOMFIELD TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Corry-based State Police say an arrest has been made in a homicide case in Crawford County.

According to police, 50-year-old Paul Vernon Carnrike Jr., of Union City, was taken into custody and charged with criminal homicide on Tuesday, December 1.

He was remanded to the Crawford County Jail to await arraignment scheduled for Wednesday, December 2.

The charge stems from an investigation into a suspected homicide in Bloomfield Township.

Corry-based State Police were dispatched to an address along State Route 8 in Bloomfield Township around 12:45 a.m. on November 28, for a report of a deceased male.

Police say the victim was subsequently identified as 50-year-old Michael Gregg Thieme, of Corry.
