Agnes S. Murone, 100, Brockway, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Brookside Manor.
Born August 27, 1920, she was the daughter of the late David and Pearl (Oburn) Johnson.
On August 25, 1949, she married Frank J. Murone in Reynoldsville. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Agnes graduated from Reynoldsville High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Mary Parish in Reynoldsville. Agnes enjoyed playing the piano, guitar, and harmonica as well as spending time with her family and friends.
Agnes is survived by her son, Frank D. (Debbie) Murone, Brockway, three grandchildren, Nick, Zack, and Julie Murone, and two great-grandchildren, Havanna and Rylie Murone. She was the last member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Agnes was preceded in death by three sisters, Prudence Smith, Bertha Walker, and Dorothy Jordan, and two brothers, Elmer E. Johnson and Charlie Johnson (stillborn).
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, a private family visitation and service will be held at the family’s convenience. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
