Alice L. Muir

Alice L. Muir, 82, of Shippenville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Clarion Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 3, 1942, in Clarion; a daughter of the late Charles Albert and Katherine L. McKenzie Renninger.

Alice married Ronald Gale Muir on September 16, 2000, who preceded her in death on November 24, 2014.

She was a homemaker who was excellent at baking rolls.

Alice also worked at Farmers Inn in Sigel, Brookville Hospital, and retired from the Chandler Dining Hall at Clarion University.

She was Protestant by faith and was a member of the Moose Lodge #101 and Eagles Club #3807, both of Clarion.

Alice enjoyed playing bingo, putting jigsaw puzzles together, and listening to gospel and older country music.

She had a great sense of humor and was known as Lucille Ball to many of her family members.

Alice was adored and loved by all and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her sister, Bernadine Rex, and her husband, James, of Pine City and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Donna D. Micoletti, who lived with her and took care of her.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Ray Renninger, Sr. and Albert Lee Renninger and her sisters, Irene “Sis” McClune, Mary Lou Bell, Esther Marie Stroupe, and Shirley Ann Eckerd.

Family and friends will be received from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in
Clarion.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024 in the funeral home with Pastor Barbara Ramous presiding.

Entombment will follow at the Cedarview Memorial Park Mausoleum in Strattanville.
