Paul E. VanSlyke

Paul E. VanSlyke, 60, of Oil City, PA (Henry’s Bend) passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, at his home after an extended illness.

Born July 30, 1963, in Meadville, PA, he was the son of Mary Kay Erich Beers and the late Paul H. VanSlyke.

Paul was a graduate of Cranberry High School.

He was married on September 18, 2010, to the former Jill E. Carbaugh and she survives.

Paul had worked as a mechanic for Cranberry Twp. for many years.

He enjoyed hunting and working with boats and cars (anything mechanical).

Paul also enjoyed tinkering around and had several inventions.

He loved Henry’s Bend and enjoyed helping his fellow neighbors and his infectious laugh will be missed by many.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mary Kay Beers and her husband Don of Seneca, a brother
(Howard VanSlyke and his wife Dee of Oil City), 6 stepchildren (Missy Roberts of Oil City, Theresa O’Neil and her husband Rob of Wattsburg, Nicole Roberts of Oil City, Brook Roberts of Oil City, Sara Moyer of Warren, and Winifred Botelho of Reson, VA.); 13 step grandchildren also survive as well as several nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by an uncle, Harold Erich and his wife Joni of Franklin, and an aunt, Regina Brown and her husband John of FL.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

A Celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
