Melva G. Hummel, 89, of DuBois died on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
She was born on September 12, 1931 in Spring Valley, a daughter of the late John and Frances (Liddle) Butler.
Mrs. Hummel was a homemaker and enjoyed being outside, loved flowers and liked to listen to all forms of music.
She is survived by her children, William Hummel with whom she resided in DuBois, James Hubler and wife Jodi of Dover, Jeff Hubler and wife Mary Jo of IN, John Hummel of DuBois, Doug Hummel of Syracuse, NY, Debra Garell of Clarksville, TN, Kathleen Geer and husband Delbert of Summerville, Kevin Hummel and wife Sarah of DuBois; several grandchildren including, Krista, Autumn and Ronnie; brothers, Leroy, Richard and John Butler; and two sisters, Vera Butler and Vivian McClellan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph and Michael Hummel; a brother, Harry Butler; and three sisters, Edith Stone, Jean Price, and Evelyn Mckeown.
A time for friends to gather to pay in remembrance will be at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory on Friday, April 30, 2021 from Noon – 2:00 pm.
