All Fired Up Kickin’ Ash BBQ Competition in Emporium Set for September 24

EMPORIUM, Pa. – The call is out to those that like to show off their barbecue skills as the “All Fired Up Kickin’ Ash” BBQ Competition sponsored by the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting entries.

The event is planned for Saturday, September 24 in downtown Emporium. The registration fee is $50.00 and competitors are requested to cook for a crowd.

Chamber executive director Tina Solak explains, “this competition is not only for a trophy and bragging rights, but so the competitors can make money selling to a crowd of hungry bbq lovers.”

A mystery meat competition guarantees the winner $500.00. The chamber staff selects the meat which is then given to the competitors Friday night. In the past rabbit, duck, and salmon has been the mystery.

The chamber website www.cameroncountychamber.org has a printable entry form and entries can be accepted over the phone at the chamber office. The deadline to register is September 21.
