Steven “Steve” Lloyd Kriebel, 55, of Huey, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the Clarion Hospital.
He was born on August 30, 1968 at Butler Hospital.
He was the son of Lloyd and Verneen (Fulmer) Kriebel.
Steve was a Veteran of the United States Army and was a certified medic.
He also worked as a taxidermist and a woodworker.
He was of the Christian Faith and shared a relationship with God.
In his spare time he enjoyed taxidermy, wood carving, playing with his grandkids, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
Steve is survived by his lifelong partner, Cheryl Karins of Huey, two daughters; Richelle Wimer and Ryan of Pittsburgh, and Amanda Polite and Joe of Mercer, three sisters; Sandy Emery of Callensburg, Charlotte Hoffman and John of Columbus, OH., and Paula Horner of Lawerenceburg IN., one brother; Phillip “Tip” Kriebel of Huey, four grandchildren; Caden, Kinsley, Holden, and Evan, six nephews; Barry Schons, Phillip Kriebel, Torrey and Corey Emery and Nick and Justin Horner, four nieces; Angie Brown, Bridgett Hess, Jennifer Gilhousen, and Darcie Horner.
Steve is also survived by numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Steve’s family will receive friends from 11 AM to 2 PM on Tuesday April 2, 2024 at the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Ceremonial Squads with the American Legion Post 454 and the VFW Post 7132 of Rimersburg at 1:45 PM.
The funeral service will begin at 2 PM following the Military service with Pastor John Green officiating.
