State Police in Clearfield Work to Unravel Shooting Mystery After Gunshot Victim Shows Up at ER

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. (EYT) — The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop C, Clearfield are conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that took place on March 30, 2024.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., authorities were alerted to a gunshot victim receiving treatment at UPMC Altoona. Officers from the Hollidaysburg Patrol Unit responded to the hospital and ascertained that the shooting occurred near the intersection of Lyleville Road and Youngkin Drive in Beccaria Township, Clearfield County.

The initial investigation revealed that the incident occurred within Clearfield County, prompting the Hollidaysburg unit to transfer the case to Troop C in Clearfield for further investigation.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, is currently being treated for their injuries. The condition of the victim remains undisclosed at this time.

Trooper Raymond Green, the investigating officer, is leading the ongoing inquiry into the events that led to the shooting. The Pennsylvania State Police are reaching out to the public for any information that may assist in the investigation.
