Allen Rayburn Lerch

Allen Rayburn Lerch, age 54 of Coraopolis (Moon Township) and formerly of New Bethlehem, passed away Wednesday morning, April 10, 2024 at Allegheny General Hospital following an illness.

Born October 31, 1969 in Kittanning, he was the son of the late Albert and Pansy Boyer Lerch.

He graduated from Redbank Valley High School in 1987 and continued his education at Penn State University, graduating in 1991.

Allen worked for Lowes for 16 years, and also worked for Kmart and Walmart.

He was a member of the Oakland Church of God in Distant.

He married the former Heather A. Petroshus on October 10, 1998.

Allen’s loved watching his girls play all the sports they loved.

It was his #1 hobby.

He enjoyed collecting guns, and, just like his dad, he loved cars.

In his younger days, Allen was known to many as “Juice”, and he loved reliving the glory days and telling stories!

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Heather; daughters, Abigail Lerch, Alyssa Lerch, and Allison Lerch, all of Moon Township; his cousins, Kelly Boyer of New Bethlehem and Brent Raisley of Yukon, Oklahoma; and his dearest puppy, Posie.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his uncle and aunt, John and Lois Boyer, and his dog, Pumpkin.

Family and friends will be received from 4-6 p.m., Monday, April 15, 2024 at the Oakland Church of God, 122 Kohlersburg Road, Distant.

Funeral services will immediately follow Monday evening in the church.

Reverend Jimmy Swogger, pastor of the church, will officiate.

A meal and time of fellowship will follow in the church social hall.

The family invites and encourages everyone to attend and share your favorite memories of Allen.

Interment will take place in the Hawthorn Cemetery.
