Lena C. Masson, 75, of Franklin and formerly of Oil City passed away Friday April 12, 2024 at the Caring Place in Franklin after an extended illness.
Born Jan. 29, 1949, in Oil City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul J. & Mary T. Hogan Masson.
Lena was a graduate of Venango Christian High School.
She had worked as a pharmacy tech for many years and had also worked as a bartender for many years at the Pulaski Club in Oil City.
She was of the Catholic Faith.
She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, bowling, and reading.
Lena was famous for making cookies for family and friends and for special events.
She is survived by brothers and sisters: Patrick Masson and his wife Linnea of New Paltz, NY, Andrew Masson and his wife Mary Alice of Troy, MI, Fr. Paul Masson, Maryknoll, NY, Dennis Masson and his wife Cathy of Elleree, SC, Margaret McGraw and her husband Daniel of Erie, PA, and Susan Thomas of Meadville; she is also survived by fourteen nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jo Weschler, an infant brother, Stephen, and a brother in law, David Thomas.
Services will be announced at a later date.
The Reinsel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
