Teresa Kay Whitman

Teresa Kay Whitman, age 69, of Meadville, PA passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday April 24, 2024.

She was born February 10, 1955, in Oil City, PA to the late William J. and Ruth (Schmude) Blair.

She was married to David Whitman. He preceded her in death.

Teresa was a 1973 graduate of Rocky Grove High School.

She received her LPN from the Venango County VoTech and worked at various local nursing homes.

She was of Christian Faith.

Teresa was known for being self-educated, level-headed, compassionate, tolerant, creative, and artistic.

She had a great sense of humor and she loved animals, especially her beloved dog, Odie, and her grand dog, Emma.

She is survived by her son, Jason Viele of Meadville, PA, and her daughter, Stephanie Viele of Pittsburgh, PA; her siblings, Alan Blair, Robert Blair and his wife, Karen, Marsha Kiskadden and her husband, Richard, Gregg A. Blair and his wife, Cathy, and Denise Mahoney and her husband, Tom; her former spouse, Richard Viele; and several nieces and nephews.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Glenn Blair.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 11:00 am at Fox Street Church of God, 229 Fox St., Franklin, PA 16323.
