Area Man Killed, Woman Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash in Huston Township

CLEARFIELD CO., Pa. (EYT) – An area man was killed, and a woman was seriously injured in a crash that occurred on Sunday afternoon in Huston Township.

According to DuBois-based State Police, the accident happened around 4:06 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, on Mountain Run Road, just north of Diamond Street, in Huston Township, Clearfield County.

Police say 57-year-old Larry J. Pentz, of DuBois, was operating a 2004 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle, traveling south on Mountain Run Road, when the motorcycle left the roadway for unknown reasons. The motorcycle then rolled and struck a utility pole.

Pentz was transported by Bennett’s Valley Ambulance to Penn Highlands DuBois, where he was later pronounced dead.

Pentz’s passenger, 45-year-old Tammy S. McCall, of DuBois, suffered suspected serious injuries and was transported to UPMC Altoona by STAT MedEvac.
