Amber J. Pennington, age 43, of Pittsburgh, formerly from Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022, surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 14, 1978, in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of Lynn and Alan Smith and the late, Larry Pennington.
After high school graduation, Amber found her passion working in the restaurant industry where she had many loyal clients.
Amber had an infectious laugh and an outgoing, inviting personality that brought out the best in everyone.
Amber’s biggest joy in life was her family.
She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, having Aunt Amber sleepovers and making treats.
She is survived by her parents Lynn and Alan Smith; maternal grandparents Harold and Arlene Anderson; four siblings, sister Misty Kimmerle and husband Jeff, brother Jared Pennington and wife Brittany, sister Dr. Kelley Smith and husband Joe Ruscitti, and sister Jodi Presloid and husband James; as well as her nieces and nephews, Riley, Zach, Faith, Joey, Max, Sam, Maddox, Alyson, Gabe, Whitlee, and Waylon. She loved and was loved back by many aunts, uncles and cousins, too numerous to name.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Pennington and her paternal grandparents, Walter and Fannie Pennington.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A family funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 15, 2022, at the funeral home.
Amber will be interned at Union Hill Cemetery in Rossiter.
Although flowers are appreciated, donations can be made in Amber’s name at S&T bank with donations to be decided upon at a later date.
