Harry “Dan” Daniel Greeley

Harry “Dan” Daniel Greeley, 79, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

He was born on April 24, 1943, to the late Harry “Dick” Bryce and Bernice Ardell Greeley in Brookville.

Dan graduated from Brookville High School and went on to receive an associate degree in business.

Dan had previously been married to Carolyn Marie Monrean.

He proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict and earned the Purple Heart medal.

After his service, Dan returned to working for General Motors for a combined thirty years until his retirement.

He was also an active member of the Pinecrest Country Club in Roseville, PA, for over twenty-five years.

He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #983 in Brookville.

Dan is survived by two children: Michelle (Tim) Bickes of Richmond Hill, GA; Mark (Claudia) Greeley of Richmond Hill, GA; six siblings: Thomas (Becky) Greeley; Joseph (Vicki) Greeley; Paul (Sharon) Greeley; Wanda (Jerry) Smith; Colleen (Ray) Reddinger; Lee (Mary) Greeley; five grandchildren: Lauren Bickes; Miranda (Devin) Shannon; Rachel Bickes; Allyson (Jarrod) Banawa; Jacob Bickes; and one great grandchild: Grayson Duncan.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in passing by two siblings: Connie Snyder and Winnie Greeley; and his longtime significant other: Audrey Shumaker.

Dan was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be missed by many.

He loved his home and enjoyed being in the outdoors, doing things like working in his yard, hunting, golfing, and his Saturday night card games.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, August 6, 2022, from 5pm to 8pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.

A funeral service will take place on Sunday, August 7, 2022, also at the funeral home, beginning at 1pm and officiated by Pastor Jimmy Swogger.

Services will be moved to the graveside at Vandervort Cemetery, Summerville, Jefferson Co., PA, where a small service and military honors rendered by the Brookville Area Honor Guard will take place before interment.
