Wilbert J. “Joe” Emings

Wilbert J. “Joe” Emings, 86, of Clarion, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, March 26, 2024 at the Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on April 21, 1937 in Brookville; son of the late Richard and Margaret Trayer Emings.

Joe attended the former Sigel High School.

He married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Jones, on April 23, 1960, who survives.

They would have celebrated their 64th Anniversary next month.

Joe worked as a truck driver and carpenter for many years.

He loved mowing his grass, gardening and craft work.

Joe will be missed dearly by his wife, family and his dog, Ginger.

In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his sons, Tom Emings and his significant other, Cindy Stevens, of Clearfield and Dan Emings of
Lenwood Acres; his daughter, Lisa Wingard and her husband, Kevin, of Shippenville; and 5 grandchildren, Curtis Emings and his fiancé, Kortnee Myers, Johnathan Frederick, Abby Frederick, Logan Emings and Lauren Emings.

He is also survived by his sister, Kay Bish of Brookville; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Daryl Emings and his brother-in-law, Harry Bish.

The Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion is handling the arrangements.

Per Joe’s request, there will be no public visitation or services.

Inurnment will take place in the Clarion Cemetery.
